I hate to aruge, (not really) but this actually means that Game Freak is coming up with more original ideas than ever. Almost all of the first two sets of Pokemon were based off of animals somehow. After the third gen and beyond, the ideas started becoming more original and they stopped resembling things that we see in everyday life as much.

..But if you think about it,if you started Pokemon when you where younger you probably liked the original Pokemon because they where more familiar.

Then you might as well splice two or more opposite looking Pokemon together, recolor it, and call it a new pokemon lol. The new ones look pretty crappy overall to me. It's like they just put some random lines down on paper and colored it.

...okay maybe not THAT bad, but still, hopefully you get my point.

And Furret does have a point. Rather than being based on animals, they're starting to be based on imagination. That, or GameFreak is running out of animals to use.

For those of you who don't want to watch the video, two new Pokemon were shown: a deer and an evolution of the chipmunk from earlier. It also showed more functions of Wi-Fi (at least, that's what I think it means by Japanese people high-fiving each other). Some stupid dress-up thing was also shown, along with what is probably the evil team's grunts. Lastly, the graphics look nicer with every video. :D

There's an awesome Electric/Flying squirrel, and more information about a Pokemon shown a while ago. Also, Growth now raises both Attack and Special Attack? :O

Gigaiasu looks awesome, the squirrel looks like it might be an evolution of Pachirisu, and the seasonal forms look kinda plain, like nothing much really changed.

I found this video on youtube. It's about 4 weeks old but I thought I'd share this in case no one has seen it yet.

"Pokémon Sunday has just finished airing and has shown some a new Pokémon called Yanappu (ヤナップ). It is the Grass Monkey Pokémon, is 0.6m and 10.5kg. Its ability is Gluttony and is a Grass-type Pokémon and knows a new move called Acrobat (アクロバット). In Triple Battles, Acrobat will allow for the Pokémon to hit Pokémon not normally within their attack range such as the Pokémon on the far side of them.
