In a nutshell, I'd like to change the mascot to something more fitting and original. Some other ghost type, something that hasn't been done that much so our forum can at least stand out a little bit.
Does anyone agree?

As much as I like Umbreon, I suppose you may be right.
And if we decide to use a ghost type, I support Sableye for mascot. :D Or Absol as a dark type (in b4 "overrated")

Edit: Though you'd have to live with an Umbreon banner once Haruka finishes hers.

Eh, it doesn't matter. I suppose I could stop this one until we get a different mascot or something. Then I can make a banner with that Pokemon more dominant. I don't really wanna finish this banner for nothing...|D;

Absol... eh. It's a lot better than Umbreon, don't get me wrong, but still not good.

And Haruka, just finish the banner~ I suppose keeping Umbreon would be tolerable for a month or two until we change the theme of the forum.

Well, there are only 493 pokemon to choose from, and even less when you narrow it down to certain things. However, regarding mascots, I think Banette or Shedinja would be cool.

Come to think of it, Lioe was talking to me about this and she has a point-
A mascot restricts us. Especially when it comes to seasonal banners and such.
Why don't we just theme our forum with ghost type pokemon in general instead of just one single pokemon?

That sounds cool. Ghost/Dark theme for our site perhaps? That way people won't be arguing over a mascot.

That way we can have variety, y'know?

Froslass for Winter, maybe Shiftry for spring, and so on.

Assuming we're doing the seasonal banners, that is. If we're doing something else, then I'm 90% sure we'll be able to make it work.

I'm thinking that the contest participants could have the option of just making a banner that could fit with any season or making a specific seasonal banner, or we could just have contests every couple of months rather than once a season.

That way, everyone can participate and make a banner, regardless of the season.
